What You Want To Know
I'm a web developer originally from Baltimore now living and working in Virginia. Prior to entering the technology field I had a varied work history.
Some of my more memorable jobs include a shampoo girl in my teens, a professional radio disk jockey in the 80's, the requisite cashier/fast food/waitressing gigs -- which I really sucked at btw -- amateur singer/guitarist in several garage bands during that time, and a television production technician during the 90's.
The radio and tv jobs were fun, but my first love has always been computers. So I returned to school in my 40's and finally finished my IT degree at University of Maryland University College which is their online program aimed at non-traditional students. Going back to school was the best thing I ever did. Now I get to do something I love and get paid for it -- sweet!

I've been playing guitar and keyboard by ear for a long time. I can't read music and neither could my dad, but somehow we managed to figure it out. I finally put some tracks down just for the heck of it on my page at SoundClick. While you're at it, check out my dad's music page too.
These are rough but fun. Some of these are from an old cassette tape I did in 1987, and the others are from around 2001 when I finally got ahold of a multi-track recorder.
My music has its roots in Bluegrass and Folk. My dad taught me to play, and he played in bands around the Baltimore area in the 60s & 70s. My childhood was spent in people's basements and backyards, listening to my dad and his buddies just pick and party all night long. This is the music I grew up with. Sadly, my dad is no longer with us, but his music will live in me forever.
